This Old Barn quilt made by Raemarie Oatman
Product Description
I never thought I'd be a quilter. Then I saw this quilt as part of a church raffle. I knew I had to have it! Well, I bought a ticket--but did not win. So I set out on a quest to find the pattern. I did. And attached is a picture of my Old Barn Quilt.
This is the first quilt I've ever made. The directions were easy to follow and the squares really did go together easily--like some sort of "sewing magic"! Don't look too closely though--or you'll see my many mistakes. I didn't take the seam allowances and piece sizes seriously. (It was, after all, my first quilt.)
Advice to newbies: If you can sew a straight line, you can do this. Take the seam allowances seriously--and if your piece isn't very near the size stated in the directions--take it apart and do it again.
Thank you for such a wonderful pattern.
